Hi Jozef,
I believe that we are still missing the birth and marriage records for:-
Johann Gottlieb HEIN/HEINE born 10.11.1849
Johann Christian HEIN/HEINE born 25.10.1843
Anna Caroline/Karoline KLAR/KLAER born 15.12.1845 (she may be Anna/Johanna Auguste Caroline KLAR/KLAER as on the Ships record of 1884).

Gottlieb & Caroline must have married around 1874.

I have found ALL the birth records for the children of Gottlieb & Caroline and their passage to Sth Australia in 1884.   I also have their Sth Australian history.

I appreciate you sending all the information.   The map has given me a better understanding of where the family lived and where Gottlieb & Caroline's children were born.

Hi Jozef,  I do know John Schwarz, we are connected through the Hein/Heine family.  I didn't know about Potsdam Archive so thankyou for that information.
I have found the births of J.G.& Caroline/Karoline Hein/Heine's 6 children in Preussen, 1875 - 1882.  Some are registered as HEIN, some HEINE.
Thankyou for your help ...........Sashar

Hi Adelaide Hills,

The following should be on a 1916 Sth Australian death certificate.   The information provided depends on who the informant was, so it's possible sections could be left blank.   I'm not sure if these records are able to be viewed at a Library etc - another Rootschatter may be able to help you with that...........Sashar

Date and Place of Death
Usual Residence
Length of Residence in Commonwealth
Age at Marriage
Number of Issue Living and Deceased
Cause of Death
Place of Death

Hi Adelaide Hills,
I have S.A.Record Series 4 - Deaths in Public Institutions compiled by Jill Stratton.
Amongst the records is:-
"QUALMANN C.F.W. see Johann C.H.
QUALMANN Johann C.H. - death date 1st May, 1916 aged 69.  Admitted 1915, Widower.  Born in Sth Australia.  Other details:- Maitland - brother of Mr. C.F.W.Qualmann, Maitland.  Ref:120 Admission 111/15"
That is all that is on the register.

Admission to Parkside Hospital didn't always mean there was a serious mental health issue.  Patients who had an illness which needed long term treatment, those suffering dementia, epilepsy etc were often sent to Parkside.

In regards to your question of Clara's surname being COLMAN on her marriage.   I think Clara has just anglicised her name from QUALMANN to COLMAN.   Sounds the same but spelt quite differently.

Long time since researching this family but I have passed some Sth Aust. information on to Matt.
He may still need help with QLD research...........Sashar

Hi Peter,
If it was the same Terence there would be at least 20yrs between the photo's so the face would change quite a bit.
Hard to tell when one is clean shaven and the other with a beard.
I agree the noses look different but then one photo is looking straight on and the other slightly to the side.
I thought the way both men stood was fairly similar.
If only people had written on the back of the photo's - oh well!
Thanks for lining up the photo's like you did.   May help someone else make a decision?
Regards,  Sashar

Hi Peter,
I agree that Terence 1 & 4 are out.
I'm also deciding between 2 & 3 and came to think it's 2.
I think the Terence in this photo may be the same man as the Terence in the photo I sent previously on a separate link with the Fire Bucket and 2 other chaps.
Any thoughts on that?

Thanks for your input - Sashar

Hi Paul & welcome to the forum  :)

Thanks for your great image, it's amazing how each person brings something new to the photo.   You are all very talented & have really improved the original image.

Peter Mcgrogan has done a colour photo on this thread, if you scroll back you can find it.

In appreciation........Sashar  :)

Hi Peter - I think it's just too faint to see what's written there.
All the same, thanks for trying.......Sashar
