Hi Moiramount,
The same article appears in the "Derbyshire Advertiser & Journal" of 31st July 1915 & the "Ashbourne Telegraph" of 30th July 1915.
As far as service numbers go, he appears to have had just the one, this being 12461. I have found no record or evidence suggesting a second number at all, at this time.
The two brothers by the way were:
Clifford, who was in the RFA (Royal Field Artillery).
Private B C Brown (shown as Bertram, earlier in the article), 1661, Royal Scots 15th Divisional Cycle Company
Both Lancelot & Bertram had sent letters home from the front to their parents Mr & Mrs M Brown.
