I have seen one Scottish baptism register entry in which the Minister said the child was born out of fornication, he did not seem happy with the situation. It did not seem to bother the child in his later life apart from the fact he appears on records sometimes with his mother's maiden name and sometimes with his  step-father's surname, and sometimes with both.

My first thought was somewhere in Scotland because of the two big houses, I think the building on the left is the one to concentrate on though. Going by the dress of the people on the beach and the gas lights the left building seems to be out of time for the era.

You may have a long wait if you have ordered from the UK GRO, they have greatly reduced non-essential work. I have an order due on 1 Apr and don't expect to see it until the end of lockdown at the earliest.

I have been to my local Asda this morning only to be told at the entrance that all their checkouts are down so there was no point entering. It is only a small branch and two of their checkouts were out of service even before the virus struck. Not having a car I had no choice but to go to the Co-op which is even smaller, less choice and costs more.
