All good information up to now yes I believe he lost a finger to a sniper I would really like to see that Times article is that something you can send please? Many thanks for your help.

No I don't have the pension card but do have the medals info I was aware he was a casualty and think he may have been sent to Eastbourne Military Hospital

Discovered (with help) my uncles war records and found he was captured in 1942 in Indonesia and sent to the brutal Camp at Ambon before being transferred to Hakadate Main Camp He served with 605 squadron and survived. Have you relatives who were also at these camps?

Can anyone find any military records for Joseph Morris born 1891 died 1951 fought in the Gallipoli campaign with 1/5 Battalion, Royal Welsh Fusiliers have tried family search forces records and find my past without success any help greatly appreciated. Sorry I do not have a service number.
