Not sure if dry red wine might cause other problems?

I've noticed a dry mouth again at night for a few nights.

But I'm not sure, due to other health conditions.

The Blood Sciences Doctor in 2021 got me to keep a food diary, as I often cannot recall later what I've had.

The longest bout of 'flu that I know of was an old aunt of my late OH and she had winter influenza that lasted six months !!

One of my sons had attacks of measles five times and was always being  "off colour" until aged 24 years old when he had his tonsils out and living measles virus was detected by the pathology department.  He never suffered measles again.

Coincidentally I've just skipped over a newspaper headline that suggested if a person had an ancient DNA then they were susceptible to certain virus.

Post Covid Syndrome (Long Covid), a similar syndrome also occurs with some Influenza and Sepsis cases ...
https://www.thelancet.com/journals/laninf/article/PIIS1473-3099(23)00762-4/fulltext#:~:text=A%20large%20study%20in%20Ontario,such%20as%20influenza%20and%20sepsis.

One Medical Report suggested that certain DNA might be more prone.

My blood family have lost one last year (fully vaccinated flu, C-19 & boosted); have three seriously unwell (two with serious long term pain and related issues and one unable to communicate).

The last time I was sent by GP Surgery to A & E, I also mentioned my family and the Nurse kindly replied ... Two of my family died too.

Brings back childhood memories, my mum gave me blackcurrant ...

LM

The humble Blackcurrant is rich in polyphenols, mainly anthocyanins.

Sorry to hear you have been unwell Gibel, there is a lot of things going around, I have just had a virus like no other,  did a covid test which was negative think goodness,  I do all the right things as regards to sanitising but still I got whatever it is, there is always something lurking about.

Take care everyone

LM

Hi LM

I had something too and test was Covid Negative.

When I was a boy, it was glycerine, lemon and honey. But honey is too sweet with my food intolerances.

Get well soon everyone, Mark

Rana, I only wish my Influenza in January 2020 resolved successfully. The flu went, but it was followed by a body inflammatory rash taking 2 years to calm and had complications ever since.

I've been on a specialised diet for several years to calm the inflammation naturally and provide all the high nutrient demands for the GI system and my body.

The next Consultant will be the third.

One of the things noticed in filed Reports are varying Scientific opinions regarding differing outcomes in people. This is one mentioning elevated IgG4.

World War Two / Re: Looking for military records

You don't need his service number but you will need his date of birth and a copy of his death certificate.

Thanks Shaun

Army required brief details of Service and their Official Proof of Death seems to be mandatory in the upload near the end, along with Date of Birth or Service Number.

We were also asked the year he left.

ShaunJ posted this link on another post
https://www.apply-deceased-military-record.service.gov.uk/

To use this link for an Army enquiry (person born 1907 and since 1907) you will need to provide some brief military related Information about their Service, including proof of Death (P of D upload essential).

In their acknowledgement they have further requested his Date of Birth or his Service Number. Supplied D of B.

Added:
We will try and let you know if they find the record of my late relative a Private, who left the Duke of Cornwall's Light Infantry at Bodmin, Cornwall in 1936, according to a DCLI letter we have (which provided quite a bit of the information required to complete the online Form questions).

2nd Add.
We have emailed photographs of the full DCLI letter and a later War Medal box (WW2) and explained that he worked in a Coventry factory during WW2 and assisted in recovery of Casualties on the infamous 1940 Blitz night. The box includes his name, address and a reference number on the outside and sent from Infantry Barracks, Exeter, Devon.

3rd Add
1936 DCLI letter has no Service Number, but confirms 6 & 1/2 years service.
