Free Photo Restoration & Date Old Photographs / Scanning Fiches (or something)

I have a set of microfiches, and would like to transfer them  to computer. I tried scanning but could not make the images large enough to read. Does anyone have any suggestions? I should add that I have a (borrowed) fiche reader and a Coolpix digital camera.

I have a PC operating on Windows XP and using BT as my ISP (BB) BT uses Yahoo as a browser.
     On starting the computer, the following message appears:
  SmartBridgeAlert.  BTHelpNotifier.exe  Entry Point  Not Found
   
     The procedure entry point GetProcessImageFileNameW could not be located in the dynamic link library PSAPI.DLL
    It seems to interfere with me being able to get to my BTYahoo browser. I can acces the internet with Internet Explorer and get my mail via Outlook Express, but not BT Yahoo.

  Does anyone know how to get rid of it? (and what is it anyway?) I am a silver surfer of moderate experience

World War One / In the Canadian Army

My husband's grandfather went to Canada in 1912. When WW1 broke out, he enlisted in the Canadian Army.
 How do I go about getting his service record? We know that at one point he was a despatch rider. He survived the war but died when he was only in his 50s.

The Lighter Side / Identifying uniforms

Does anyone know of a good, and preferably free website where I can get a uniform identified? I tried it on the Armed Forces section here and folk thought it might be railway or police (it was taken in India) but nobody is sure.

What do I do if it hasn't worked?

Armed Forces / Unidentified uniform.

I believe this is a photo of my grandmother's favourite brother, as I know he spent some time in India. Please can anyone identify the uniform for me? Sorry there's not much to go on. Thanks
