England / Where would I find, which County?

I've got a couple that married by licence in 1792 at Malpas, Cheshire. The groom was from Manchester & the bride from Malpas.

Where should I be looking for a copy of the licence, Lancashire or Cheshire?

Canada / Probate 1916

An English cousin of my great grandmother's joined the Canadian Army & was killed in action 28 March 1916.  I've received a copy of his service record which has a copy of his will dated 1907.  His wife lived in Calgary, Alberta but then later returned to England.

Would the probate of the will be granted in Canada or England?  If it was in Canada where would I find a copy?
