Hi,
Just to throw another one into the melting pot..
I have just received via the Guild of One Name Studies a copy marriage cert for.
Henry PESKETT age 28 Shoemaker of Horsham.Father Thomas PESKETT also Shoemaker to Elizabeth BOORER age 22 of Horsham Father John BOORER Labourer.
at Parish Church Horsham March 3 1866.
If you can lay claim or come across anything then I will welcome the info.

Many thanks for the names....
I suspect that BOOWR and even BOW is in fact BOORER.

I have a BOW family listed in a census and they are definately BOORER.... ???

I shall follow up and see what develops..

Can I assist you in any way with census info ?
...I have had a quick look at 1861 and have Ethelberts family...

Yes I thought that was who you meant. ;)

I agree that it was probably a variant but todate I have no evidence of that  name changing within any family, unlike BOORER and BORER . Probably have to get back to late 1600s before the variations appear .
