Thank you all for the information provided.

It is such a very sad story about the plane crash and I just also read that both Amanda and Paul bought the last 2 tickets on that flight.

It is so so very sad.

I have emailed Carmountside Cemetery to find if Amanda is buried was cremated there.

Once again, thanks for your help and if anyone finds any further information that would be great.

Best wishes, Jules

Hi

I am looking for any info on the above.

I believe she was born in the Stoke area?  Sadley Christine died in the 1985 Manchester air disaster.

I'm desperately trying to find any information, especially her place of rest.

Many thanks.  :)

Hi

I am trying to find the resting place of Timothy Pike b 1947 and d 1947.

Both birth and death entries were registered in Wiltshire but I believe the family relocated soon afterwards to Hampshire.

The family lived in the Woodgreen area of Hampshire and were Methodists I believe.  There was a Methodist Chapel in Woodgreen, which is now a holiday cottage, so I am not sure where I could locate the records.  There is also a graveyard in Woodgreen but unable to find any records.

Any help in finding the grave of Timothy would be greatly appreciated, I am not sure if this would have been in Wiltshire or Hampshire, I can't find anything for him other than the birth and death records.

Many thanks.

Sorry CaroleW

I think the birth and death were registered under Salisbury, which is Wiltshire, but they lived in Woodgreen, which comes under Hampshire.

Unless that is why I can't find anything?  Perhaps they lived in the Salisbury district and moved due to the death of a son?

I cannot find anything other than the birth and death entries, but was hoping to find his grave.

Hi

Can anyone help me find a birth for Mary Boyle - DOB: 02.09.1927.

At some point she went to live in Manchester and gave birth to a daughter (Catherine Boyle) in February 1957, who was then baptised on the 13.03.1957 at St Thomas of Canterbury in Manchester.

Apart from this I don't have any other details.

It would be amazing if I could find any other details regarding her.

Thank you for any help that anyone may be able to give.

Best wishes

Julie

London and Middlesex / Ada Brooks born 1902 Sturminster

Hi

I wonder if anyone could help me please.

The above was my great aunt.

She lived in Trent Park in the 1911 census with my great grandparents and family.  She was born in Stalbridge in Dorset in 1902 and had a son called Leonard in 1934 in Hampstead, London.

All of my family said that Ada married and one day a lady knocked the door to say that she couldn't be married to the man she married as she was already married to him and he was a bigamist.  My grandmother said this broke her heart and so when Leonard was born she registered him under her maiden name Brooks.  The man went to prison and at the time this was reported in the News of the World and other papers.  She never saw him again.

Ada died in Berkshire in 1989, never married or met another man again.

I cannot find a marriage for Ada, my mum and aunt thinks she married in London somewhere.

If the marriage was not valid as he was a bigamist would the marriage still be registered or not?  Just wondered if that is why I can't find the marriage, but it is more difficult as Leonard did not have his father listed on his birth certificate.

Can anyone help me in finding this please?

Thank you.
