Hi

This time I think I'm asking the impossible but here goes, is it possible to sharpen the photo of Dean Courtney taken from a group photo of the crew of the HMAS Castlemaine in 1944?

Cheers

Free Photo Restoration & Date Old Photographs / Removal of Funnel on Ship Photo
« on: Wednesday 29 June 16 01:26 BST (UK)  »
Hi

The attached photo is of HMAS Castlemaine in Melbourne in 1974 shortly after hand over to our volunteer conservation group (see hmascastlemaine.org.au).  Would it be possible to remove please the yellow and black funnel that belongs to a ship on the other side of the wharf.

I realise that the subject is not family history related in the truest sense however we believe we are preserving history for the decendents of men who served on her, and the other 59 Bathurst Class Corvettes built during WW2.  The Castlemaine is the only surviving ship of that class still afloat.

Thanks

Bob

Hi, could this chap have a clean up please and also I would like an opinion on the date of the uniform.

William was born 1879 and I'm not convinced it's him.  It's obviously a staged photo that is maybe purporting to be either Boer War or WW1??

Cheers

Hi

Could Mary be tidied up please.  The photo supposedly taken on the day of her marriage to Herbert Elms Lette in Tassie in 1880.

Cheers

Hi
There is some family disagreement about when this was taken.  Having an independent opinion will help to identify the people with more certainty.

Thanks

Hi

Now I am going to ask the (almost) impossible I think.  Mary Watts and her daughter Frances Lord don't have very clear faces and I'm wondering if what is there could be enhanced please. ;)
If not possible just tell me so so I don't get my hopes up.

For those interested in history Mary is the daughter of Margaret Eddington, the ex-mistress of the Governor of Tasmania David Collins, and George Watts a Convict/Bushranger.  Mary was born in 1812 in Hobart Town.

Thanks :)

Bob
