Hi Kelcgare,

Who did you think was your Nanas father ? You didn't type the father's name.

It's ages since I've looked at the Guthrie tree so my memory is a bit rusty.
Is it info pre NZ about the children that came from Fife that your hoping to find. Off the top of my head, I think there was 2 brothers and a sister but will check.

Hi Wendy,

Mum & her sister were both illigitimate. Their mother was still alive when they boarded with their aunt, not sure where she was though.
Thank you for the advise on where to try for the records. Pity if there is the 100year rule.

Hi,

My mum and her sister, both deceased, were boarded out to an aunt and her family at some point about 1945/1950 in Dryfesdale now Lockerbie, Dumfriesshire. They lived with their aunt until they each turned 16, then moved out to board with employers, working as domestic servants. Their aunt was paid to look after them.

Can anybody help with where i could find their boarding out records ?

Ernest Alfred occ at time of marriage was a Bakers Van salesman
Also mentioned as now engaged in War Service, Aircraftman Royal Air Force

H/A as 11 Leighton Pl, Callander
I haven't kept note of death date or place.

Catherine, 19yrs
Occ waitress
H/A 2 Hillview Cres, Larkhall
Again not kept note of death date

Ernest Cameron married to Helen Lane

Died 26 Feb 1944, 72yrs. Ernest possibly died at 11 Leighton Pl, Callander.
Informant on death record as daughter Winifred O'Donnell. Winifred died 1966.
Occ at death as retired Estate Worker, occ 1942 on son Ernest's marriage record as Forester retired

Widow of Helen Lane

Helen Lane, died aged 52,1940 Callander
I have Helen as being English

Parents as John Cameron & Margaret MacDonald both deceased at time of sons marriage



John Cameron, 26yrs, married Margaret McDonald, 26yrs, 31 Jul 1874, Perth

Occ At time of death as farmer, also as Mason

Johns parents as Duncan Cameron & Jane Adam

Margaret's parents as Alexander McDonald & Jane Lowrie Brown M.S Wilson

Margaret's occ Machinist.

Duncan Cameron & Jane Adams married 6 Sep 1841 no town noted

Duncan's occ Sailor, seaman

Hi Caitlin,

To be honest I can't remember & haven't kept a note of that bit.
I passed the, Cameron Family Tree,  I had researched onto, Ernest Cameron born 1872, Grandson.

If your interested I'm happy to share what's notes I have kept. I have another two generations back.
