Hi Maryanne,

From your previous posts, I assume you have obit from Thomas Henry Bassett Yellands death in 1953 in Long Beach.  His then wife, Isabel and a son Roy and dau Verna Lowe are mentioned.

There is a Roy Yellend is living in Tucson, AZ   --  some newpaper mentions there in 1939 --  but nothing pertaining to his mother.   The Tucson location might fit in as his father Thomas HB worked on mining in Bisbee, AZ right ??

Looked for Verna's obit in in 1996 in LA.  Not found  but maybe an obit  look-up request on the LA board of Rootsweb??  doubting her mother still alive by them.....  but maybe some clue ??

There are 2 Isaac Rogers in New Haven  in 1840   in the index, anyway.  I can't access the details.  However, the 1840 isn't too terribly helpful with details

name of head of household
number of free white males and females in age categories
name of a slave owner and the number of slaves owned by that person
number of male and female slaves and free "colored" persons by age categories
number of foreigners (not naturalized) in a household;
number of persons deaf, dumb, and blind in household;
town or district, and county of residence.

Hi Collette,  you can search here --  not just Italian heritage records --  it's across the board.   It's not complete, so if nothing found,  can't assume anything either way.....

Be wary of other peoples tree entries --  information may not be accurate or updated when new/better info came to light.

I need a spreadsheet on this group but wasn't Sarah Tuttle nee Rogers ?

Hi pal55, welcome!  you may have  already or have discarded all the below so will try and make it brief mentions.

Your Wolf b. around 1837 ??

NY Times September 4, 1899 reported the death of Isidor Ettinger age 62 on September 1 at the Waverly Hotel in The Bowery.  No other details.

Details here of a building on Bleecker Street that Abraham owned at one time       pg 55 of 125

http://www.nyc.gov/html/lpc/downloads/pdf/reports/nohoeast.pdf

Google searches bring up a variety of listing in NYC directories and various business related matters but without many details.

There are 2 passenger lists for a Wolf Ettinger   1909 and  1895.

1850 Wolf Ettinger age 40  (1810)  b. Germany  Occ: Pedler  no wife or children living in Northern Liberties, Philadelphia, PA

There is a Wolf Ettinger who died in Philadelphia  January 13, 1869 at age 86 yrs old (1783)  says married  and was buried Mt. Sinai Cemetery.

Above 3 items  found at the Family Search pilot site.

Another thought  ....    "John F Little"  age 48   what if that is "Tuttle" also  :-\   Age is right ---  but I can't get him to come up on his own in a search under either surname.    Am I missing something really obvious here ??

It's 4:30 AM  --  maybe I should go make coffee before I do these things?
