yes watched luge as well  and the pairs skating!!   yes WOW!  on all!

some missing links I think on these Archers.  Always possible there was an older gen we are not picking up on census reporting .......  and of course could be wrong people.  Have done that a few times  :'(

Will be looking in tomorrow on what you and others have pieced together.

now this is getting interesting, isn't it ??

A 1st wife for Samuel would explain the confusion over  the "no. of years married" entry.

Also possible that the 2 children in 1900  (Wilbur and Mildred) were Sarah's and not Samuels ??

Would definately be a strange coincidence to have both George and Samuel Archer in Shabonna, IL  and not find a connection between them.

Per the 1900,   if correct only 9 mos between them  so maybe not brothers ??
George b. Aug 1849
Samuel b. May 1850

A tree on Rootsweb has his marriage to Ruth Marie Atkins September 1929 in Holborn, London, England.   Tree says Ruth was b. in 1897 in Illinois.   There are 3 children of the marriage listed,   2 living  and a 1st born dau ,Ruth Ellen, who died as an infant

not the personal details you are looking for yet ----  but found the intro to an article in the Journal of Religion that he authored in 1932

Hi Trees --   just to clarify, detorri originally found George and Elizabeth in 1900 and posted those details in Reply #1  --  I only went back to check where they were living in 1900 after I found Samuel and Sarah Archer in 1900 in Shebonna, IL.

Would really be interesting if you find George had a brother Samuel in the English census  :o  Will look forward to your findings on that!
