I think I know who Rosie is, so will email her, and ask her to come and see the replies, if it isn't her email she has sent.

Like alpine has said another couple of posts and Rosie can send and reply to PM's

Hi Ivy

Not 100% on this, but I think the ownership might have died with your granfather, I am pretty certain that it can't be transferred.

I would imagine though, that if you took enough documentation, ie grandads death cert and say a letter from your Grandmother, that they may allow you to place a headstone there, at your own expense.

Keep ringing them, and mithering you might get somewhere.

Good Luck

It has changed HUGELY, since the early 1900s and more so since the mid 1960's, most of Old Ordsall has now dissappeared, My dad and his parents, and their parents lived there, with Dad only moving away when he got married and Grandma and Grandad only moving to high rised flats, when their Ordsall home was demolished :(

You have loads of replys on Salford.gov forum

This is not unusual especially if there were lots of Marriages having took place, if a marriage say took place on Dec 23, it should have gone in on the March Quarter entries in 1906, but if missed would have gone in on the next lot.

My ex was born in sept 1966, his birth doesn't show till the March Q of 1967

No not at all Migky, just that I am now a member of the Trust, and there is a member at each of those cemeteries, if we can help we will, but at least now I can ask those other members if they can take a photo, or find more info.

War Graves I can do a look up on, as I have the list for Weaste, and I think someone has the List for Peel Green, we are looking at Agecroft next (Family Graves with War Dead on them)

Heather has also come on board, being as we both live in Salford and we are so close to the History Library as well :)
