Clare / Keogh's of Clogga
« on: Tuesday 25 October 11 15:09 BST (UK)  »
I am seeking information on any Keogh's in the Clogga area descendant from Denis Hugh, Keogh and Mary Carroll m 1846 in Parish of Cratloe.
They had 9 children, Thomas, Michael, Anne, Anne, Mary, Mary, Patrick, Martin, Patrick, presumably the doubling up of names were because sibs had died, another two could also be their sibs which were Katherine and Margaret. If anyone knows of this family or any links please contact ???

Thanks,

Maree :-\

Fermanagh / John Evans
« on: Thursday 18 August 11 14:55 BST (UK)  »

From Fermanagh to Derrinallium Victoria Australia
I have hit a brick wall can you help me?

I am trying to find information on one of my Ancestors, a John Evans
Born abt 1838 in County Fermanagh, he died in Lismore, Victoria 1884.
There is a possibility that he arrived in Australia 26 SEP 1863 on board
CHAMPION OF THE SEAS, he was to marry soon after in 1864 in Geelong Victoria Australia.
His occupation was grazier; his family went on to dairy farming in the same area of Victoria.
His will states he was a farmer at Derrinallium that he was born in County Fermanagh Ireland, John left land and houses to a son John Johnstone Evans which was to be given to him on turning 21. He left his daughters 0ne thousand pounds also on turning 21 and to his wife Margaret Campbell 5 pounds sterling per year as long as she remains a widow and looks after their children!
If any one recognizes any of this information please contact me.

Thanks,

Fran
