I think there is still some mystery surrounding the couple though!  I can't find Albert on the 1901 or 1911 censuses as yet.

Following a lead on AHB born Ashurst Kent, not Hampshire, there is a baptism for an ALbert Henry Bird on 24 Aug 1879 at St Martin of Tours, Ashurst, Kent.

Parents Albert Henry Bird, colt breaker and Catherine Drusilla Bird.

Hi AncestryPete,

I know that you have looked at the 1921 census, but did you notice that Albert's birth place was Ashurst Kent not Hampshire? It just seems an odd thing to be born in an Ashurst in one county and live in an Ashurst in a separate county about 100 miles away!

Morning!

In my experience, both Ancestry and FindMyPast have been very good at responding to reported errors. Might take about a week or so though.......

It would also be interesting to see rather than how many years you have been researching, what proportion of your life has been spent researching!

For example, I got a spiral bound 'find out about your family' book when I was about 7 which is what kicked started my genealogy obsession hobby. This means that I have been researching for about 84% of my life........
