Good Morning all hope you are all well. I am now trying to find the correct baptism of my ancestor Thomas Simmonds, their is so many different records around. This family connected with the family names of Lydia, Woodger, and Long right through to Phillis Lydia Hodge (married name). The Thomas Simmonds who married a Hannah Long on the 15/4/1823 Maidstone Kent her death 13/12/1857 East Maidstone kent and Thomas's death date 20/9/1849 Maidstone Kent. I have searched trying to find the proper Thomas Simmonds who has the names Lydia, Woodger and Long in the Record. I will keep on searching later. :-[ :-\

Good Afternoon all, still searching for the baptism of Elizabeth Knight around 1752 who married a Earl Pearce (Pottery) on the 3/11/1768 St.James Bristol, when Earl passed away she continued with his Pottery Business and associated with a Benjamin Quarman who also is connected with Thomas Earl Knight, I am hoping with the descendants from this person maybe Elizabeth Knights family. :-\ :-[

Good Morning ColC thanks so much for your help when I read the section below of Eleanor marriage to George Gibson I was hopeful till further down when she died in 1809, sometimes they have been married before. :-[ A lot of people I know have been searching for the marriage of Eleanor Anderson and William Mason their son John and wife Jane Middlemiss  migrated out to New South Wales where Jane died only aged 39 while John was searching for gold in Melbourne. :'(.

Good Morning jonw65 thanks so much for your help, I searched most of the day yesterday and found the children that John Cantle and Ann baptised all at St. Phillip & Jacob Bristol, Ann 29/4/1729, James 30/3/1794, John Earle Cantle 10/5/1801 followed by William in 1812 (my ancestor) I need to check the census again. Another Cantle family in Keynsham was also a James and a Ann Scudamore marriage and another John. All my records are wrong because of the mixup of names. Thanks again for your help.

Regards,
Janet

Good Evening Annette7 Its easy to make a mistake with the Ann Cantle's, I have been searching for over 20 years for my English ancestors and I am the only person doing this. Please don't be hard on me as I live in Australia and its hard finding out records, some of which are wrong on various web pages. My ancestor John Cantle born/bap 20/11/1768 HanHam Abbotts UK (engineer) married a Ann Maynard Pearce (17/8/1773) 8/7/1790 Bedminster St. John UK. John died or buried 21/9/1834 aged 65 St. Dunston Stepney the same place that their son Edwin Mathias 1814 was married. The children of John and Ann Maynard Cantle are:- James 1794, Anne 1792, Elizabeth 1798, John Earl 1801, William 1812 (my connection he married a Maryann Taylor in 1835 Christ Church Surrey. Edwin Mathias 1814 all born in Bristol, the lady who helped me is a descendant of Edwin Cantle. John and Anne's son married a Sarah and I looked on the 1841 Census and 1851 and found that a Anne's son James Cantle is listed, so what I made a mistake about this, I don't have much to go on, even FreeReg UK don't have much and I don't always follow Family Search they are wrong sometimes. :'( :-[ :-\

London and Middlesex / Ann Maynard Cantle

Good Morning I am still trying to find the proper burial record of Ann Maynard Cantle (nee Pearce) she married John Cantle on the 8/7/1790 Bedminster St. John Bristol or Gloucestershire. I have since found her details connected to London Workhouse Admission and Discharge Records 1764-1930 with Paralyze problems, she was discharge around 1838, in the 1841 and 1851 Census she appeared with her and John Cantle's son James and wife Sarah. So many other dates crop up on Ancestry and other web pages with different dates, months etc. I have purchased GRO Uk certificates and none are the right ones, her Probate Date 13/4/1853 death about this same year. I have searched for this date no luck, even sent message to GRO UK for certificate. :'( Time for lunch closing now. :-[

Regards,
Janet :'(
