Other Countries / Charles Edwin Webb India help
« on: Tuesday 15 January 19 20:27 GMT (UK)  »
Hi everyone

I have a couple named Charles Edwin Webb and Alice May (unsure of maiden name) with several kids born in India.

All their kids were born in West Bengal/Jhansi area and Alice May died in 1934 and was buried on 12 Dec 1934 • Jhansi, Bengal, India.

I cannot find a marriage for Charles and Alice but I have seen a picture of one of the kids and she has a very Indian look so I'm guessing one of the parents was of Indian descent.

I believe Charles worked for the Great Indian Peninsular Railway.

Can anybody help me locate details on Charles and Alice please?

I don't have a death for Charles either.

Many thanks

Glamorganshire / Leo Wilson death
« on: Friday 08 September 17 21:41 BST (UK)  »
Hi

I have a family member that moved from Belfast to be closer to his daughter in the 1980's and died somewhere in Wales (I assume Swansea as that's where his daughter lived) in 1991.

There is a record on Ancestry For a Leo Wilson that died in 1991 but I cannot view it as I am not a member.
I wonder if someone could possibly locate this death as I really would like to know where he passed away.

Many thanks in advance

United States of America / Rev Henry P M Le Guillou help
« on: Friday 01 September 17 20:22 BST (UK)  »
Hi all

Henry P M Le Guiilou was a priest in New Mexico in the late 19th century and early to mid 20th century.

Does anybody know who to contact to find out about his career as a priest?

I assume it's the Archdiocese of Santa Fe but I cannot seem to find the contact details.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Mayo / Burdish/Geraghty marriage Islandeady
« on: Wednesday 29 March 17 16:30 BST (UK)  »
Hi everyone

I am in need of help with my Mayo ancestors.

My 3rd Great Grandfather Peter Geraghty married my 3rd Great Grandmother Bridget Burdish on the 22 Jan 1854 in the village of Islandeady in Co Mayo.

I'm not sure of the church they married in as I found this marriage on a Irish website and for the life of me cannot find the details anywhere.
I know I have the right couple as the first two children they had were born in Mayo but the rest were born in Chester and it states the mothers maiden name.

They left Mayo to come to Chester between 1858 and 1861 as one child was born in Mayo and the other in Chester.

Now I am hoping that someone may be able to help me locate either the birth of either Peter or Bridget or perhaps the parents etc.

I don't know why but I know I have a record of the marriage somewhere but I cannot understand why I don't have at least the fathers names recorded.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

« on: Friday 25 November 16 20:18 GMT (UK)  »
Hello

I was wondering if any of you kind folk can help me with my ancestor Randolph James Brown Robson born 1863 in Liverpool and seen on the 1910 and 1920 census for Middlesex Massachusetts.

I cannot view the census but am very intrigued to know what he was doing there and what family members he was with.

Any help you can give would be greatly appreciated.

Kirkcudbrightshire / Barbara Kay/McKie new info
« on: Thursday 24 November 16 16:42 GMT (UK)  »
Hi everyone

My 4x Grt Grandmother Barbara Kay was born on the 7 June 1815 in Crossmichael. I purchased some credits on SP and checked her death cert and it confirmed that her parents were William Kay and Mary Johnstone.

Thank you to Joyful who spotted a birth on the IGI and put me on to the fact that the surname could well have been McKie and indeed that has proven to be the case.

William Kay/McKie was a stone mason.

Now I'm hoping you lovely people may be able to help me locate a marriage for the parents or help locate them on the census in the hope that there will be other family with them so I can learn more and perhaps take them back further.

Many thanks in advance

Hello

My 4 x Grt Grandmother Barbara Kay was born in or around 1816 in Crossmichael according to census records.
I have not been able to locate her birth or parents etc.
She married John Fletcher.
Any help locating her birth and possible parentage etc would be greatly appreciated.
As a little side note she is also the Grt Grandmother of Sir Bernard Miles.
