Canada Lookup Request / Re: Catin or Caton Willis in Ramsay, Ontario
« on: Monday 06 April 20 14:50 BST (UK)  »
The William Willis you mentioned above is my 2nd GGF and he immigrated from Wexford, Ireland to Beckwith, Ontario 1819-1820. Since the other Willis's I have mentioned in previous posts all immigrated around the same time from the same place to the same place, I feel they all must be related but I keep ending up against a brick wall as to how they are related.

Wonderful information you all have provided me with and I thank you all so much. It is so much appreciated. My Willis ancestors came from Wexford, Ireland to the Lanark County area in Canada all between 1818 and 1822.  There was a George Willis born about 1778 and died February 16, 1855 in Beckwith Township. There was also a Henry, a William, a Thomas and Catin Willis. I feel that they might all be related to each other, but I have been unable to uncover any information of their parentage. In these times of isolation I will continue my research.

Canada Lookup Request / Catin or Caton Willis in Ramsay, Ontario
« on: Sunday 05 April 20 18:59 BST (UK)  »
I am looking for any information on a Catin or Caton Willis. He was born in Ireland in 1795. As a young man he settled in Ramsay on the outskirts of Carleton Place, Lanark County, Ontario. He died in Ramsay in 1869. The only other thing I know of this ancestor was that in 1836 his name appeared as a contributor to the Carleton Place fund for providing and operating a curfew bell and in 1845 he was a Church Warden of St. James Church. Unfortunately I do not know if he was married or had children. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Canada / WILLIS Family in Ottawa, Ontario

I am looking for any information regarding the cause of death for three young boys from the same family. Charles Edward Willis born August 2, 1944 in Ottawa died September 29, 1961 in Ottawa. His brothers, Robert John Willis born September 2, 1949 in Ottawa and Peter Frederick Willis born September 18, 1952 in Ottawa both died June 16, 1962 in Aurora, Maine, USA. It is always such a tragedy when children die so young. Thank you in advance.
