I am just showing you what I can see and the nearest 1930 Census record I can see for James Fox born 1897 at the moment would show a Priest at a Trappist Monastery, Nelson, Kentucky.  ???

It looks as if there are a few Nora/Norah's in Massachusetts.
The 1900 Census and 1920 Census are the correct ones but I cannot see them in 1910 yet.
On the 1900 Census James Fox was born July 1896.  Looking at a WW1 Draft for a James P Fox. Born 17 July 1897 in Neponset. Boston. Massachusetts. Residence:- 12 Suffolk Street. Dorchester, Suffolk, Massachusetts. Father born Ireland. Name of nearest relative:- John Fox of the same address. The fact this record would be a year out on birth date would not have any significance, I have seen loads exactly the same. So one to bear in mind.  ???

Thank You. I hope your friend gets a little further with the help of the birth certificate.

Regarding the Uncle - William T Dangerfield 1 Jan 1936 Died 6 Dec 2001 and his wife Geraldine Born 2 June 1934 Died 9 April 2006.

I came across this link which I think refers to them but it was obviously pay per view so I got no further.

I think shellyesq would probably have a better explanation than I would - I only know I saw the same site posted unabbreaviated and it was removed by the copyright editors a few months ago. It will be interesting if it is removed a second time.
The immigration dates do sometimes vary - 1910 was given as 1884. Lisa in California has given you the dates on the 1920 and 1930.  The 1900 census says immigrated 1870 but in the next column, the years in the US are 20years.
So far the only passenger record I've come across for a Nora Cosgrove was 5th April 1882 but that made her born 1862.  ???

Hello Castlemcauliffe.

Just to explain, I think your original post was edited so the site you requested a look up on was removed.

The link below will give you Births, Marriages & Deaths for Massachusetts 1841 - 1910.  I don't think any of the online sources we can resource will give you an address for each record or the names of the parents of Norah Cosgrove unfortunately.

The Massachusetts Marriage Index will give you the marriage of the daughter Mary Fox 1893 to Michael Joseph Lyons in Quincy. Massachusetts in 1915 and name her parents as John Fox and Norah Cosgrove.  Also the parents of Michael Joseph Lyons as Timothy Lyons and Anne Sullivan.

Hello Christopher.

If you make at least one more post you can contact Richard by the personal message system.
Good Luck to you both.

Regards ;D

Hello Dale.

I cannot see anything in the census records so far to match your William Shipman.
Wondered if this link would help you to carry out some searches.

From looking at the UK Census I think you may mean the William Shipman who married Mary Ann Good in Lincolnshire in 1851 ?  But you only mention 2 sons and there were more after 1861.  At least one of those ends up in New York from about 1905 with his family which is a coincidence.  Mary Ann by 1871 is married to a William Vickers and 4 Shipman children are still with her - including George 1856. Very intriguing.  ;D
