Please excuse my lack of knowledge of Irish place names/counties etc.  ;D

Mary Jane Cullen b c1836 Ireland (no baptism found)

1855 - Desertmartin, Derry on son John's BC

1887 - Co. Tyrone on a Poor Law application

Is Derry a Barony?

I have also seen Loughinsholin as a Barony in Londonderry

My question is, how do I actually record the PoB as the above creates a county within a county which is confusing?

ATM - I have Desertmartin, Derry, Londonderry, Co. Tyrone, Ireland

I'm wondering if this beautiful pic can be dated by the clothing & surrounding frame please?

The photo is from a collection of David Whyte (1841-1905) studio in Inverness, Scotland

What is unusual is possibly a Caribbean woman in Inverness, Scotland in that period i.e. any suggestions of why would be helpful.

I think her headwear may be significant too (hopefully)?

Can anyone work out a possible age for the woman too please?

I'd be very grateful if it could be restored too please.

Hi folks,

New on the DNA trail & have just received my results in time to take up the offer on MyHeritage...

https://www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php?topic=845090.0

Can someone please explain how I download the data from ancestry to be uploaded to MyHeritage?

I downloaded what I believed to be my Raw Data but it's numerous pages long i.e. I'm unsure I've done it correctly.

Can someone please post a snip of what I should be looking for please as the MyHeritage offer ends soon?

Hi Folks,

Can anyone decipher the word with ? in this sentence please &/or anything else I may have wrong?

I've included what I've managed myself although I'm open to others' thoughts.
It's only this sentence I had a problem with & the word is nothing like any word I'd expect in the context...

"Marriage solemnized after the Subt_ty? of a Special Licence granted by The Moderator of the General Assembly of the Pres. Church in Ireland at Belfast in the Registered District of Belfast in the County of Antrim"

Image attached with enlargement of the word.
