Many thanks for that useful info.

If anybody could do any lookups in the Bradfield registers, I'd be very grateful indeed.  :)

I've got al the Great Baddow registers on fiche, so I'll have a look through them and see what I can find.
Bear with me though....... ;)

You don't give the names of the 6 children, but I wondered if the oldest one was Caroline Woodfine?

It's just that there's a baptism for a Caroline in Great Baddow on 7th August 1831 to a Thomas and Eliza Woodfine.

It could be that Ann isn't actually the mother of all the children she's shown with in 1851 and may be a second wife?  :-\

Suffolk Lookup Requests / Baptism Entry c1791 Francis CLARK/E
« on: Friday 19 October 07 11:37 BST (UK)  »
Hello

My main Clark family are in Essex but I'm stuck with my ggg grandfather who on the 1851 and 1861 census entries professes to be born in Suffolk. On one the place of birth is Bramfield, on the other it's Bradfield.

The Bramfield baptism regsiters seem to draw a blank so I wondered if anybody had anything for "Bradfield"?
Failing that, if anybody has any Suffolk indexes with a baptism for a Francis Clark/e around 1791, I'd be so grateful for some info.

By the way, he was a bricklayer/builder.

Thankyou!  :)

Essex / Re: New to site..Surname Interests

Thanks for the speedy welcome!

Also, thanks Pauline for pointing out the surname interests thread. I'll post my names on there.

Well, my branches cover quite large chunks of Essex. I suppose my main parishes are in  the Southern part of the county, including Chelmsford  but I also spread up and around Dunmow, Little Hallingbury, White Notley and Great Yeldham.

Apart from a Welsh branch, all my roots are in Essex and London.

Finally, yes, I've been doing my family tree for about 10 years now and it is VERY addictive.  ::)

Hello
I've just found this very interesting whilst "googling" on the web. I'm hoping it will be a fresh source of info. for me and I also hope that I'll be able to help plenty of you. My husband calls our spare room the Essex Record Office Dorset branch! I've got plenty of parish records on fiche that I've gradually bought from the ERO over the years, so I shall look out for requests that I may be able to help with.  ;)

I've got too many surname interests to list, but here are my main lines;

Clark, Chambers, Tarran, Thorogood, Outten, Fuller, Milbank, Attridge, Perry, North, Marshall, Clements, Woollard, Swan, Hawkes, Bell, Clift.

Best Wishes.  :)

I have Milbanks in my family and at the moment they seem to cluster around The Easters and The Rodings. It's not a common name though, so there could be a link with your Henham and Felstead branch somewhere along the line. :)
