I have the Davies & Reynolds line in Probus Cornwall.
Mary Ann Davies was born in 1837 daughter of Thomas Davies and Elizabeth Reynolds. I found the marriage of Thomas Davies to Elizabeth Reynolds in 1837 in St Agnes nr Truro.
On the 1841 census I found this family of Reynolds:
HO107/149/3 Folio 11 Page 15
Banns Vain
St. Agnes
REYNOLDS Jaspard M 50 Tin Miner Cornwall
REYNOLDS Mary F 50 Cornwall
REYNOLDS Richard M 25 Tin Miner Cornwall
REYNOLDS John M 20 Copper Miner Cornwall
REYNOLDS James M 15 Copper Miner Cornwall
REYNOLDS Mary F 15 Cornwall
REYNOLDS Susan F 13 Cornwall
REYNOLDS Julia F 7 Cornwall
by searching the IGI I found the following baptisms of children to the couple:
1. MARY REYNOLDS Gender: Female Christening: 03 JUN 1827 Saint Agnes Near Truro, Cornwall, England
2. ELIZABETH REYNOLDS Gender: Female Christening: 22 OCT 1815 Saint Agnes Near Truro, Cornwall, England
3. RICHARD REYNOLDS Gender: Male Christening: 26 MAY 1817 Saint Agnes Near Truro, Cornwall, England
4. JAMES REYNOLDS Gender: Male Christening: FEB 1823 Saint Agnes Near Truro, Cornwall, England
5. SUSAN REYNOLDS Gender: Female Christening: 11 APR 1836 Saint Agnes Near Truro, Cornwall, England
6. JOHN REYNOLDS Gender: Male Christening: 10 OCT 1819 Saint Agnes Near Truro, Cornwall, England
7. JULIA REYNOLDSGender: Female Christening: 11 APR 1836 Saint Agnes Near Truro, Cornwall, England
So I think I have the correct family for Elizabeth,
However my problem comes with Thomas Davies - The 1851 census states he was born St Agnes the only baptism I have found for anyone around this time is the son of John and Mary in 1813. I cant find a John and Mary in the 1841 census in Cornwall.
Can anyone do a lookup for me of the marriage of Thomas Davies and Mary Reynolds to see if his fathers name is stated and where he came from.
Thanks for a great site
