Hi Kooky,

I am waiting for my mum to scan her marriage cert of her and my dad and send it onto me.

As the story goes Frederick was living with my nan for about 15 years before they got married, inbetween this time frame they had 3 children and one of these children was my dad, he was about 14 or 15 when they finally got married. My dad's year of birth was 1943.

My dad seems very certain when i spoke to him yesterday on the phone the year of Frederick death is 1968. But he got a bit mixed up with the middle names of his dad (granfather) and his brother (my uncle) because both have the same middle names but in a different order. My uncle died back in the early 90's i think.

Don't know if this is any help

Hi,

Yes the year of death is right and the name is right.
He had a massive heart attack, i was only about 3 years old and was staying with my grandparents house at the time

He was living with my granmother for about 15 years before they got married in
57-58

Mothers Maiden name Gladstone.
Fathers name not sure

He died 28th October 1968 (london- north circular road)

He married

Gladys Elizabeth (Elisabeth) Stone (maiden)
her married name was Blackman

On ancestory.co.uk i have done an exact search and nothing comes up, but if i untick that exact search i have 1000's come up and most are not revelant to the search i am making.

Any help or information will be greatly appreciated

Many thanks in advance

Pam

Hello Leprechaun, I am the cousin whom is in search of the Mannion family.
Nora (my nan) died in 1974. I am in search of her ancestors.
However i did find a reference of my possible gggg grandparents marriage in 1838 in  Aghanagh Co Sligo.
I do have the name and  address of the parish priest and will be writing to him shortly

I have since had confirmation that there is still family living in Tubbercurry and have written to them in hope they maybe able to help.

Living in the UK makes it that much harder and being on a tight budget can't afford to subsribe to any geno sites.
