There is a book Hafodunos-Triumph of the Martyr published by Mark Baker 2005

the Hall was built in 1861-66 for Henry Robertson Sandbach to replace the house buit in 1674
It is a Gothic revival style house by Sir George Gilbert Scott and is the most important country house after Kelham Hall Nottinghamshire- it is the most important Welsh building
In 2004 it was damaged by fire and was subject to vandalism -it was eventually sold to people who wanted to restore it and turn it into a single dwelling

If you put Havodunos  Wikipedia into a search engine you should find history of the hall

Durham / Re: Jonathan Brown /Nancy Kipling Middleton Teesdale

Hi folk's,my Gtx3 Grandfather Jonathan Brown was born c1817 in Middleton/Mickleton in
Teesdale,It struck me I had never looked for any further information reference his parents so dug out my file and checked a copy of the 41 census and noted His father was John Brown and mother Nancy.
I only have familysearch and info is scant but I found a marriage 1817 in Middleton 1817 to a Nancy
Kipling
1841 census would not tell who parents were as relationships aren't given on that census -

I see marriage date as 26/06/1813

the marriage 27 Aug 1876 of Thomas Brown /Charlotte Elizabeth Evans is on A******y

I have sreached A******y and FYP for marriage of Thomas Frederick Brown/Emma Smith but only have the marriage registration in Aston (not Ashton) Reg dist
Maybe they did not marry in Church maybe in the registrars Office - if so you would need to purchase the marriage certificate for fuller details
