Europe / Jules Marion
« on: Tuesday 16 February 21 08:45 GMT (UK)  »
Jules Marion married Catherine Snell.
They had many children born in the 1860's and 1870's in Geelong Victoria Australia.
Both Jules(1904) and Catherine(1906) were buried in Geelong.
I am asking if there is anyone able to help identify the parents of Jules. I have checked Victorian BDM's without any luck.
I have not been able to find their birth and marriage dates.
Thanks for you help.
Aussie Boy.

Once again a lot of information to ponder over and thank you.
You pose an interesting observation as regards to Charles and Ann Every. I've always been puzzled as to why I haven't been able to discover Charles being born to William and Mary in 1812.
This could well be the reason.
You have set quite a deal of homework for me!!
Many thanks again for your interest.
Regards,
Don.

I do have a copy which states William Poore, labourer and George Henderson, shepherd.
Witnesses were William Henderson and Rosina Nicholas
Charles and Elizabeth together with George, Mary Ann,Edward and Jane left Southampton for South Australia in 1853 aboard the Magdalena.George was listed separately from the rest under a heading of Young Males. Interesting to note that the witnesses to Charles's and Eliza's wedding were George and Betty Newman.
Charles,Eliza and children lived in 96 Morgans Vale.
Please will my William stand up!! All your information has been an inspiration for me to keep searching. Thank you so much for your time, effort and patience on my behalf.
Regards,Don.

Once again many thanks for your extensive research for me. It is greatly appreciated. I am related to the Poores that went to Canada.
Sarah Bampton was Sarah Hunt when she married George Poore in 1819 George died in 1825 and Sarah married William Bampton.
Joseph, Charles and John are my 3rd Cousins 3 times removed!!
I will persevere in my attempt to find more about William's second marriage and his death.
It's been a pleasure to have been in contact with you.
Regards,
don.

Hi Capetown,
Many thanks indeed for your time and efforts in helping me . It is most appreciated!!
My William was a son of James Poore and Hannah Chalk and was born in 1784.
I have the 1851 Census of the parish of Downton ,East Tything in which William is 62 and Sarah is 50. (if the ages are correct).
I'm beginning to wonder whether the William who married Sarah Edmonds is my William.
As you suggest "If it's the same couple"
Thanks again and regards,
Don.

Thanks Mark. Charles is my gt.gt.grandfather.He first married Eliza Beaumont and then Elizabetth Henderson before coming to Australia with his children. His father, William, married Mary Ann Earney and then Sarah Edmonds in 1818. I'm trying to find if he had any children in his marriage to Sarah.
I have been trying to verify the family trees in Heritage but not Ancestry.
Thanks for time Mark.
Regards, Don.
