South Africa / Re: from UK to South Africa 1881-1888

Hi all,
I have just found a possible arrival for Elizabeth and Amy.
Arrival in Capetown on board the " Anglian " 23rd March 1875--Elizabeth Harrison and one child.
Listed as immigrant and surety by Mr R.B.Tanner of Fort Jackson, East London.
Could this possibly be some kind of arranged marriage?

hi,
    family search has baptisms of
Charles Edwin Reid 22 sept 1898 son of Thomas and Amy.
Jane Florence Reid 19 july 1894 daughter of Thomas and Amy.
These may have been siblings of my grandmother Alice Reid born 28 june 1903- problem is I cannot find Alice on family search to confirm this.

hi,
I know Amy Harrison was born in England about 1869/70.
She was married in Burgersdorp 6th April 1888 to Thomas Reid.
Her parents were James and Jane and they were by now settled in South Africa.
I am trying to find them on passenger lists to get more information about the family.

  thanks for any help............bigjon
