If you can wait for a couple of weeks , my cousin lives in Mexico but is in California at the moment I'll contact her as soon as she is back in Mexico ,and ask is there any way she could find out.

Is there any one,that could tell me, the reason my grandfather from Glasgow would enlist in the Enniskillen Fusilers. would he have had to travel to Ulster to do this,or could he have enlisted in Glasgow.

I knew a family from the east end of Glasgow called McGowan from Quarryknowe Street,Parkhead.The childrens names were Maureen, Sheila, and Ronald, sorry I don't remember the parents names.
They all moved to Canada in the late fifties  (it may have been Australia) don't know for sure.
Hope this helps.The children would be around 70 -- 80 years of age now.
