Hi Rhys,
Thanks for searching for them for me, I have struggled to get very far with this family. I will have to wait until my youngest starts school and I can start searching parish records! Only another 16 months to wait ;D

Monmouthshire Lookup Requests / 1841 Griffiths - Tredegar
« on: Wednesday 12 April 06 10:50 BST (UK)  »
I am trying to locate this family who were possibly living at the Tredegar Ironworks area.  I know they were there at the time of a cholera epidemic in 1849, when both parents and one of the children died.
In 1841 the details would be

GRIFFITHS,  Richard    33
                   Catherine  30?
                   Thomas    8
                   Robert      7
                   William      5
                   Margaret   3
                   Anne         2
and possibly James    an infant

any help here would be appreciated.
Thanks,

Caroline :)

Monmouthshire Lookup Requests / Re: Bedwelty burials

Hi Tullig,

They are not included in the MI's  I have, sorry.
They could be there with  a badly weathered stone, for example.
There are also, in the Bedwellty area many churches and chapels where they could be buried.
Where did they live?

Hi Kerry,

I have noticed when doing a broad search for a name that there seems to be quite a few missing pages.

Hi Rhys

Sorry I do not know where either were born, I know Charles was 40 when he died in 1867.

I have been making a few educated guesses to come to these details.  But as yet these are the only people I have come across who 'fit!' the details I have.

Sorry to be a little vague.

However, there could have to been a child born to this couple aged up to 9mths old, at the time of the census.

I think I was hoping for a bit of luck :-[

Monmouthshire Lookup Requests / MORGAN/ATTWOOD 1851
« on: Tuesday 28 March 06 13:48 BST (UK)  »
Would anyone be able to locate two individuals in 1851, probably in the Nantyglo or Blaina areas.
They are:-

Charles Morgan, born 1826/7

Ann Attwood, born1833/4

They may be living quite near to each other, as I believe they married later that year.

Thanks,
Caroline :)
