Thanks Rick!   :)

I'll have to sit down and digest that!  It's just nice to see where people were and to be able to maybe tie in some family members!

Essex Completed Lookup Requests / Re: Nunn family - Essex

Hi Esther,

I have some Nunns in my tree from Chevington married into my tree.

Regards, Emma ;)

Hi Rick,

I have access to census info from 1871-1901.  I have my Edgley line going back as far as 1542 but the 'recent' Edgleys are the ones I want to tie in to my line.  There are so many different families all from Wickhambrook and it's frustrating to only have access to records back as far as 1871.  Unfortunately time doesn't allow visits to the records office at the moment! :(

Hope this helps!

Hi Barry,

It's not the 1851 or 61 census, but I found this on the 1871: :-\

Henry Jarman, Head, 29, Pattern Maker, Tiverton Devonshire
Eda Jarman, Wife, 32, Tiverton Devonshire
James A Muirhead, Lodger, 49, Unmarried, Carriers Clerk, Buxton Derbyshire

They were living at 2 Kent Cottages, Poplar

Hope this helps a little?

Regards, Emma

Hi Gwen,

I've had a look at the 1871 census and can't find John on there!

John Edward Finch married Harriet Hook in Lambeth in the quarter of June 1870.  Vol 1d, Page 665  (I imagine this is them as they have young children on the 1881 census - ages 1-8, John being 67 and Harriet being 57!)

If you can get hold of a copy of the marriage certificate you could at least find out what his father's name was?

Hope this helps!

Regards, Emma  ;)
