I'd appreciate a date for this lovely CdV please. She looks rather 'theatrical' to me, for some reason.

The picture on the back is of Beaumont Street in Hexham which didn't exist before 1866. I only have one other CdV on this cardstock, and this has been dated to the late 1860's.

The young woman appears to be wearing heavy bracelets on both wrists. I wondered if they might be made of something like Whitby jet?

Any help most gratefully received.

Please could I have a date for this nice family group?

My thought is early-mid 1870's (but I am usually wrong!) I don't have any other CdV's on this cardstock. I particularly like the little detail at the top of the reverse side showing the camera, palette and paintbrushes.

As usual, thanks for any help  :)

I'd value your opinions on a date for this CdV please  :) It has been trimmed down (in common with several others bought as part of the same batch) so the apparently square corners aren't original.

I have several on the same cardstock, all of which have been dated at the late 1860's.

Please may I have a date for this CdV?

I have two others on the same cardstock, both dated to mid-late 1870's.

Thanks for any guidance you can give  :)

Please could I have a date for this delightful CdV? Apart from her feet she is remarkably well in focus!

Many thanks  :)

I would appreciate a date for this nice cabinet card by John J Gloag of Hexham.

The address on the card is 5, Pearson's Terrace. His address in the 1881 census was simply 'Pearson's Terrace'. He was at number 5 in the 1891 census, but some time after that he moved to number 11, which was his residence at the time of his death in 1900.

This card bearing the address 11 Pearsons's Terrace was dated early-mid-1890's https://www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php?topic=817636.msg6794293#msg6794293

My though was that this one might be late 1880's :-\

Help, please!

I would very much appreciate a date on this cabinet card photo of a slightly worried looking young man.

The address is 11 Pearson's Terrace. I know that John Gloag and family were at 5, Pearson's Terrace in 1891. He died at number 11 in October 1900. In 1901 his wife was still at number 11, occupation 'photographer'.

So I am wondering if this is a photo he took before his death in 1900, or whether it might be one taken by his wife post 1900, using his old cardstock?

Any help gratefully received  :)

I recently acquired these three lovely cabinet cards. They all appear to have been removed from a photo album, judging by the similar slight damage at the top of each.
I think the first two are mid 1890's - am I correct, please? I'm not certain about the third.
The backs are identical, so have only posted one example of this.
I have one other card on an identical cardstock, and this was dated to early 1890's.

As usual, any guidance appreciated  :)

I would like to have a date for this nice CdV please.
I am thinking perhaps early 1870's?
Thanks for any help  :)
