O'NEILL, CATHERINE       HENRY
GRO Reference: 1879  M Quarter in GATESHEAD  Volume 10A  Page 842

If I have the right family, it looks like Mary's maiden name was Henry?

So Patrick O'Neill married Mary Henry.

Queenie  :)

The daughters Mary and Bridget Henry have mothers maiden surname O’Neil ?

Durham Records Online is a privately owned transcription site, and to a large degree focusses on pre-Civil Registration (i.e. 1837) records.

To find out what they have available click on ‘What We Offer’ top left of the home page, then take a look at either Parish Records or Census Records.

I've looked on Durham Records online for birth/census information to find George's family to no avail.

If indeed they did marry, or were buried at Haverton Hill you will look in vain on Durham Records Online, as they currently only have 1866 - 1872 baptisms and burials for that parish.

BUT it doesn't quite fit as the father is listed as a shoemaker instead of being deceased

I have got several marriage certificates which state the father’s occupation when it is beyond doubt that the father has been dead for many years.

I see it as County Down, Ireland. You can see the descender of the ‘y’ at the end of the first word.

James HARRISON and Jennie YEOMANS in the OPs original post are a red  herring.

Charles and Alice Ann HARRISON in the 1939 Register are the parents of Jennie Rutherford HARRISON. The marriage between Charles HARRISON and Alice A, YOUNGER is recorded in South Shields in 1918

Not quite a red herring  :)

There are two separate questions being asked.

Hi Folks
I wonder if any of you kind people can shed some light on the following:
I'm unable to fine 'Jennie Rutherford Harrison' on the 1939 register born 29-8-1934. She would have been 5 years old.
I can find her father, mother, brother (my dad) and sister, all living at 50 Watson Ave, South Shields.

Question 2.
James Rutherford married 'Jane (Jennie) Yeoman' in 1920 in South Shields, they had a son Robert born 8-4-1922.
Did they have any more children before Jennie died in 1937?

Just for clarity Free BMD she was born in the December quarter 1934, not the first quarter.

I’ve just corrected my error.

FreeBMD have a James Rutherford birth registered Jan./Mar.1921 also in South Shields district with mother's maiden name Yeoman. There's also a Margaret registered there July/Sept.1924.
However, searching FreeBMD for Rutherford and mother Yeoman only shows children James, Robert & Margaret.
Where does the name Harrison come into this?

The person being looked for in question 1 is Jennie Rutherford Harrison born 1st q1934 in Souh Shields R D

Edit:  4th q 1934, not 1st  :-[
