You may like a look at this site.

There is a photo of a row of shops on Moston Lane and mention of a sweet shop.

Thanks :)
Love the pre-molar joke ;D I'm a dental hygienist!
This is the earliest photo I have of Dad (he is the one standing). I'm not sure this is a good likeness, his army photos taken a few years later are very different. I think the photographer was practicing early air brushing
 ;D

Please can someone remove the creases and maybe make the colour  a little more natural.
This photo was taken at the "while you wait" studio in Blackpool between 1935 and 1938. The colour was added to the photo.
Many thanks

Hi
To help the restorers not criticise ;D ;D
RAF shirts are pale blue and ties are black. If the photo was taken at a wedding a white shirt may have been worn. ;D

Lancashire Lookup Requests / Dean 1851 Newton area of Manchester
« on: Wednesday 21 February 07 12:15 GMT (UK)  »
Hi
I wonder if anyone can help me find this family in 1851.
Thomas Dean and spouse Sarah, age on 1841 is 30. Their children are
William 12
Martha   8
Ann         7
Thomas   6
John   4
Samuel 3
Sarah    1   (ages as per 1841).
I have found Thomas jnr in 1861 when he is married.  In 1841 the surname was transcribed as Deam but so far I am not having any luck for 1851.
