Thank you so much for this info! Have you ever come across a name, that has middle names not associated (that I could find) with the family?

Hello, yes I have a couple that have middle names not associated with family.   One being the ship they came out on,  another named after a captain on another ship, and another with a country as middle name.

Should the birth of the other aunt who is still alive show up as she is over 80, or will that not happen until she appears in the deaths

Ian C

I would say that she will not appear as she is still living.  I stand to be corrected.

I saw this on another site this morning: (15/06/2023)

Have you seen the changes on the NZ births, deaths and marriages site this morning? You can now search for:
Birth of a deceased person who died 50 years ago or more or who was born 80 years ago or more
and
Marriages that occurred 75 years ago or more

A little bit of improvement ... might be a little bit of help to get further ahead.

Hello,

We usually advise to get the Printout as it is cheaper, has more information on it, and can be emailed to you.

There are quite a few trees for this couple on Ancestry.   Some have the marriage date as 19th and others as 29th Dec 1869.

Looks like Helen's parents were James Campbell 1896 and Helen Donaldson 1802

Helen's birth year looks to be around 1835.

WOW  !!!    Just had to come back and tell that I've finally SOLVED a very longstanding family mystery thanks to an article found in the "Grey River Argus" of 1942.   Yee ha !!   ;D ;D ;D

Congratulations :D  Just goes to show that taking time out from digging, and having patience, you will finally be rewarded when they want you to find the information.

No worries about the non-notification; we can keep an eye on the recent releases.  :)

Minniehaha.

I second that, there is always someone who is eagle-eyed to spot the new ones.

Thank you for the new additions - Hauraki Plains I hope will give me a little snippet or two.

Ancestry tells me that I've also got Norway, Sweden and Denmark there somewhere.

I was told the same, Mum always said there was Scandinavian in us. Perhaps we are distant rellies? ;D :D. Have more Scottish than Irish in me. ;D
