Thank you for your replies.

I have, belatedly, looked at parish registers browse and nothing comes up on FindMyPast at all for 1904.

harrywrag, your email has just come through. Thanks for that, I haven't heard of that site, will have a look.

Norfolk / Burials All Saints, Little Melton, in 1904
« on: Friday 14 May 21 12:22 BST (UK)  »
My relative, Maria Howard, died April 1904. registration district London City. Her husband's district of death is the same. I know where he is buried

Maria was born in Little Melton. When I visited All Saints a good few years ago now, I noted down the family gravestones including one for Maria, which gives where and when she died, refers to her husband, etc., etc.

I cannot find a burial record using FindMyPast or Family Search which seems strange in view of the gravestone.

Does anyone have a burial for 1904 and could give me a name to search for in that year in case she has been mis-transcribed?

Many thanks.

Armed Forces / Death registration

I have come across an old notebook from when I first started researching the family. There is an entry for Second Lt E P J Hull who died 2 July 1918. According to the GWGC site he is buried at Abney Park Cemetery.

Unfortunately that is all I have noted down and I haven't a clue where he fits in, if indeed he does. The GRO site doesn't bring his death up so I do not know his age or first name so I could check the census.

Does anyone have any suggestions how I could investigate this further?

Many thanks.

Technical Help / Re: iPhone 6s died on me

I was using my old iPhone 5 whilst the 6 was not usable. Had that been fixed the 5 would have been recycled, once cleared of data.  Recycling the 6 is a problem.

Unfortunately there is no local Apple shop, and Iím not using public transport at present.

Many thanks to you both but problem now solved. Son got himself a new phone and I now have his previous one.

My other son who is in IT managed to bring my 6s up and running by using iTunes. Unfortunately he couldnít get it to do anything, not even a factory reset.

So it seems the battery was not to blame. At least I know it was definitely dead. Presumably the next thing is to do is find the hammer!

Thanks for that Rattus. It wasnít any colder than usual at the time.

Perhaps itís just time for my phone to succumb to a known problem and not worth carrying on with. Itís a shame really because Iíd been happy with it till now.
