There is a family tree on Ancestry which claims that this is Charlotte here in 1911, married to Arthur OSCROFT.

Derbyshire / 1911 Census Help Needed.
« on: Friday 12 January 18 20:59 GMT (UK)  »
Hi All
I am having serious problems trying to find certain individuals in the 1911 Census.
Here goes...
I have an Edward and Kate Dowd in the 1901 Census in Derby.
There is also -Charlotte, Mary Ellen,Maria,James,Margaret,Elizabeth,Martin and George..

1911 Census-I have Edward and Martin only.....James was in the army,Maria was married,as was Mary Ellen.

I am trying to find Kate (Catherine/Katherine),Elizabeth,Charlotte (prob married) and George.
Kate died in 1926,Elizabeth and George-no idea.

George is also a mystery as I cannot find his B/M/D Record at all.In fact the only mention of him is the 1901 Census.

I have exhausted all of my info to no avail,so I am counting on you good and great people again!

Hi all.

I am wondering if there are any records of old newspaper announcements for BMD's etc.
Mostly around the Cóbh area.
Are there any archives I could delve into?
Thanks

Hi all

I 'think' I may have a relative in Portsmouth Prison(?) in the 1871 census.
I have noted a person I am researching isn't around his local area (Derbyshire) around this time and a man matching the same name is in gaol in Portsmouth.
The name is Edward Dowd/Doud-born in Ireland (or Derbyshire) in 1845.
Does anyone have any prison records I could access please?

Thanks
Dowdy :)

TBH I really dont know where to go with this one!
Having said that, have you excluded this one?
I think I can discount this one.
Im thinking he was the son of Catherine, born elsewhere other than Derbyshire, different father.
Not sure how to get the answer though  :(
