Warwickshire Lookup Requests / Re: Joseph Coleman

Hi Dinah
Welcome to Rootschat. You don't say what info. you are looking for about Joseph, you seem to know everything already. His death cert. wont tell you much more than you know now.If you are looking for his parents you need a larger search of the Parish Records.Ages from the census and marr. certs. are very unreliable.Suggest you post a note asking if someone can search for you if this is what you are after. jim ;)

Hi Sarah
Sorry for the delay, searching a Parish takes a long time, but unfortunately they are not there, neither is Russell Row ???.I've searched the 1840 & 50 maps I have without success. It could be an unnamed lane or back alley and informally known by that name. There is a Russell St. so looked there as well.

Hi Aurora
I've searched St. Philip but your family are not there. As there seems a strong link with this parish it seems strange, maybe they just didn't fill in their census returns.Sorry I can't be of more help.Jim :'(

Hi Aurora
I'm afraid there is nowhere called Onardwarda in Warwickshire. In fact I don't think there is anywhere of that name in England. It must be a mistake by IGI,even place names of nordic origin ( mainly in northern England ) dont sound like this.I'm searching St.Phillips at the moment for someone else so I will look for your family as well. ;)Jim

Hi Sarah
Do you have birth certs. for Edwin and John. This will give an address around 1841 cen.I can then do a street search.Jim

Hi Aurora
Do you have a marriage cert. for Eliz. and Thomas. If so is the address for Eliz. different from 1851 cen. This will give me a lead as to where they lived closer to 1841.As I am looking at the original census images this may narrow my search.Jim ;)

Birmingham Archives holds a number of land deeds and estate papers. You can email them at:archives@birmingham.gov.uk
Also the National Archive collection held at Kew:http://www.a2a.org.uk holds all wills, but you will have to use a researcher to look this up.Regards Jim ;)
