Hi Doddsie4,
The 1924 dau, I saw her on scot/people today but my card would not work. I was going to buy in the hope it was correct and would get the parents marriage, which I now  have thanks to you. Your 79 yr.old head obviously works better than mine. The 1924 looks very much like it must be correct as I see from the marriage cert. that John`s mother`s maiden name is Bell. So pretty much sure it will be. I will get the cert. and look at these others you so kindly pointed me in the direction of. I will check them out. Once again sir, thank you so much.

Well that`s me well and truly scolded and quite rightly so. I can only offer my sincere apology for my tardiness in responding to your post. Which contained a reference to family search.org & South Africa. This information proved to be invaluable. There were numerous documents of relevance on there. I can only say Annette, that I have never in the past omitted to pass on my thanks to any member who has helped in any research. There have been quite a few. There was no intention toslight you or disregard your very helpful post. Once again, My apologies.

Hi MonicaL,

Gosh what gem you are and so clever, we searched for hours and hours. You have I believe answered the conundrum. Yes Mgt. MacP. was born 6/5/1896 KIng st. Govan. My wife whose relatives these are was convinced it was Mgt. McAllister MacP. So it looks like they lost Mgt. and named the 96 Mgt. the same although no middle name on her birth cert. I cannot find that death on Scot/p. also, your, Ahh, moment is spot on, my wife has confirmed that`s the family. Thank your ever so much. What a wonderful crowd of folks on here. Again thanks so much. Can I be cheeky ask where you found the 95 death of Mgt.

Hi, trying to find information on the above named lady, born 6th. May 1896, to Peter Macpherson 1865-1915 and Sarah Campbell. She was born no. 82 King Street Govan. Tried Scot/people, for a marriage etc, but know knowledge of a surname. I think I know she had a daughter Maureen, no luck with her birth either. Any help guidance greatly appreciated. Thanks for looking.

Gosh I have had so much bother trying to get back on here I could not remember which board I was dealing with. so a huge apology to one and all who answered our query. We learned nothing, but the expectation was not great. Not of Rootschat, who have over the years been above and beyond excellent, so once again apologies for my seeming rudeness, thanks for your most welcome input.
