Bedfordshire Lookup Requests / Keysoe Marriage
« on: Wednesday 08 September 21 14:25 BST (UK)  »

I have found a marriage to a couple in Keysoe Beds in the records of Familysearch,
the girls name has been recorded as Fubbey in there records, I cannot find any more
continuation of the name so I am assuming its badly writ en in the PR in the first place.

John Mayes  and  Elizabeth Fubbey 23 Nov 1707 Keysoe, Beds..

So if any one has access to the Bedfordshire records could they see what has been
writ en as against whats been recorded by FS...

              Please..

The Common Room / surmane quandary.
« on: Sunday 29 August 21 12:45 BST (UK)  »
I have been cleaning my ancestry surmane list and came across the family name
Trusler and Trussler that has been recorded, the clergy has written both in the
course of BMD's even for the same family, upto date they are both recorded in
the civil reg index, there seems to be just as many with one S as against SS, any
way to keep things tidy what would one suggest to use, or am I just being picky
unnecessarily, just take one spelling and run with that....

     Foot note..
may be only the first name, date, and location of event is most important...

The Common Room / very near invisable Parish records
« on: Wednesday 11 March 20 12:06 GMT (UK)  »

I suppose we all have encountered the problem with poorly written or faded parish records,
you find the right year in your searches only to have the ink just about vanished, so has any
one found an app or way to make the writing readable, I have paint and paint.net as standard
on my win7 but has any one found another (poss free or cheap) that they are more than
satisfied and fairly easy to use, I get the feeling that some clergy used watered down ink for
some reason or a worn out quill, so I am ever hopfull....
