Sorry I'm almost sure it said sarah not elizabeth, for some reason i was looking for wrong person. Now something strange is happening to my CD as what was there last night is no longer my enumeration district 19 has dissappeared. there is gremilins in the works, I cannot believe it myself. i copied the write up from the disc Super registrar's district Haverfordwest.  Registrar's District Haverfordwest
Enumeration district 19
Discription All that part of the parish of Prendergast within the town and county of haverfordwest, comprising the houses on the new bridge Cartlett, Bridge Cartlett Kilne, Jubilee Row, and southern side of Prendergast from Bridge End to the north eastern corner of the sandpool on the Cardigan Road.
now it has dissapeared.
I'm sorry i'm rambling but i'm not joking I can not believe it, when and if i ever find it again i'll look again for you, I have Prendergast enumeration district 20 they were both on same cd. strange

Hi
I do not have 1851 census I don't think it is available yet to buy. I looked on the 1841 for you family.

Super registrar's district Haverfordwest.

Cartlett

Sarah Williams     50
Ann    Williams     15
William Williams   11
Sarah Williams        8

I believe this may be your Sarah Wiilaims, no other sarah Williams in Cartlett, No Thomas Price either.
I hope this has been of some help.

Pembrokeshire / Re: GEORGE JAMES

I looked on the 1861 census for Amroth and found this He is the only George James in Amroth

Amroth 1861
Summerhill
Sarah James     Head      W      43?       Collier Widow         B Amroth
George James   Son        um     13         Collier boy             b Amroth
Philip  James     Son        um     10          Scholar                 B Amroth
Mary  James     Daugh     um      8          Scholar                 B Amroth
Thomas James  Son        Um       5         Scholar                 B Amroth

I then Looked in 1841 found this

Summerhill
George James   Head      58    Ag Lab
Mary    James    Wife       70

Plough
George James   20          Collier

It looks like when George James(senior) and wife mary died his son George (collier)moved in to same house with his family, however he died before the 1861 census.

I looked on 1837 on-line for death of George James (collier) and found
George James  Sept Q  Narberth 1856  11a 355 (335)  bit blotchy could be either.

I looked for death of George James (senior) and found
George James March Q Narbeth 1845 V26 Pg 518

I Looked for a Mary James Death in Narberth between 1842-1852 and found
there was 12 Mary James registered in Narberth between these dates.

I don't yet have the 1851 census which i guess may help narrow down the search.
But i hope this has been of some help to you.
Happy hunting
