Donegal / Robert Henry Connolly b. co Donegal c. 1850

This man born before 1864.  All I know of him was that his father was named John.    John was b. c. 1830.   I have no name for his mother.   I should like to identify Robert's parents.

There is quite a bit of oral history connected to him, but no names.  I have sought to verify the history on google and found that it all tallies and leads to a particular family.  I cannot confirm the connection as I cannot find a link to Robert Henry and this family.  Names for his own children are reflected in this family.

Robert Henry is listed on the Donegal born men of the RIC/RUC and his marriage to Elizabeth Robinson is on the Irish National Archives.

Does anyone have any knowledge of Robert Henry Connolly,  whose father was named John, please?  Thanks - Dinny.

Monaghan / Robinson/Reid

In 1852 Joseph ROBINSON (farmer) and his wife Ann REID/ROBINSON were living in Drumherriff North.   In that year they had a daughter Elizabeth who was baptised 1854 at the Broomfield Parish which is apparently near Castleblayney.

Is there anyone out there connected to or has knowledge of Joseph, Ann, Elizabeth and any siblings of Elizabeth, please.

I have no knowledge of how the Irish county or land system works, but Joseph and Ann are found in Donnaghmoyne (is this what is referred to as a "Townland") - Griffiths.
 Thanks and regards - Dinny.

Hi - does anyone know of a Fifth Column incident which occurred whilst surfacemen were working on the railway lines near Heathcote Valley during WW2.

This apparently involved the regular gang of surfacemen and a fellow who was manpowered to the gang.   The regular gang of men dealt with the incident through official channels.

There was a piece on google concerning this but I am unable to trace it again.  There were no names and it was possibly a government report, released after a time limit.   Welcome any replies.  Thanks.  Dinny.

Hello - I would like to make contact with descendants of my g.g.grandfather Nathaniel DICKEY and his wife Elizabeth KELTER / DICKEY.  At one stage they were living in Germantown Philadelphia.

Nathaniel DICKEY was b. in Ireland c. 1790 and went to Pennsylvania (Philadelphia) about 1810.  He was a farmer.

Elizabeth KELTER / DICKEY was born in Philadelphia Pennsylvania c. 1792.

Some PA surnames connected to this couple are CRAIG, BROWNLEE, FUNK, KELTER.

Thanks - Dinny.
