Worcestershire / Thomas Dallow
« on: Friday 26 December 08 19:02 GMT (UK)  »
Thomas Dallow was the son of John & Mary Dallow (nee Palmer), he was baptised on 19th June 1864 in Dodderhill, Worcs.
I have been unable to locate his birth registry, any help re. this would be much appreciated.
The family later moved to Birmingham & the 1881 census shows Thomas with his family in Garrison Street, Bordesley, Birmingham aged 17, a labourer in a rope works.
What happened to Thomas after then?
If anyone knows of the Dallow family history I would be very grateful if you would contact me please.
Thank you,
Treefan.

Hi Nina,
Many thanks for your reply, it's most appreciated.
The family that I am currently researching are the Dallow family. They were all based in and around Lower Mitton, Worcestershire but I believe that John & Mary Dallow lived in Summerhill, Tipton for a few years between the 1851 & 1861 census's where John worked as a forgeman.

Once again, many thanks,
Treefan.

 :)
Hello Colin,
I have been looking through the various posts re. the Honey family of Sunningwell as I too have ancestors of this family.
I noted that the entries were a couple of years old now so I hope that it is still possible to contact you in this way.
I seem to agree with the info as I have understood it and I wondered whether you have continued your Honey research to perhaps point me in the right direction re. Edward Honey?
The furthest that my research has taken me is that William Honey (born 1626) who married Elizabeth Clements was the son of Edward Honey who I presume was born c1590. If you could shed any more light on any details re. Edward I would be most grateful please. Also, I have Robert (born 1664) who was the son of William Honey & Elizabeth Clements. I have never been able to locate a marriage entry for him and I wondered whether you have had any luck in this area?
Should you be able to help me at all I would be very grateful if you would contact me please.

With many thanks,
Treefan.

Staffordshire Lookup Requests / Baptism of John Jones of Fradley
« on: Monday 08 December 08 21:51 GMT (UK)  »
 :)
Could any kind soul please look up the baptism of John Jones who was born in Fradley, Staffordshire about 1872, the son of Thomas Jones & Mary (nee Johnson).
I believe that John Jones remained in the Fradley area in later life where he worked as a wheelwright.

Thank you.

Hi, thanks for your reply.
I did try to Google it but only found businesses & a school with the name Summerhill included and I wasn't sure about what I had found as the area seemed vast, even going into Wolverhampton.
I'll try again,

Thank you.
