My link to  George Ballantyne is as follows,  his son Arthur who married Mary Eleanor Jewiss, their daughter Hazel who married Daniel David Miller Andrews then divorced and moved to Australia, her daughter Pamela , Michelle.

I have a little info on your line from that booklet that was produced in the 80's about the Normans. (do you know of this book).

I would love to find out more about the Ballantynes, and associated families.

What is the Pedigree Reference Selection and how do I gain access to it? To whom do I write.

Also to whom do I write to get access to death records at Oamaru.

Hi Ngaio,  Yes I have  finally got the Francis and John Douglas Francis thing sorted.  I have the history from IGI going back to Margaret Robson and Francis Ballantyne, what I need now is what you might have, some of the more recent family and more details on the individual people.

I have a little information about Georgre  Ballantyne and his family, a contact in NZ on the Jewiss line was going to contact the last of my grandmothers generation for me, these things all take time.

I would love to see all the information you have gathered on those Ballantynes, and it sounds like you have some great stories too.

When I received the last note from you I googled Millers in Becastle and you would not believe what I found, an Family History which I am certain you had a hand in about the Miller Family. That will save me a lot of trouble as well, because finding any family so far back without help can be very hard.

The Diary sounds wonderful.

Hi all,

 Once this line had been wrapped up and I was in contact with GenesReunited I realized that  nothing had been  found for David, that came over with his family on the ship from Liverpool to NZ. 

Could I throw his name back into the arena please.

There is nothing in the Dunedin cemetery for him which is the first place to look for this family.

Is there any other records for him
