Looking for information with regards to George Graveson's wife Elizabeth . They were married in Kendal I believe in Dec 1846. George was born in 1806  in Colton Lancashire to Thomas Graveson and Alice Kirkby. Trying to find out the maiden name of Elizabeth  from online sources if possible before ordering a BC .Thank you.

Yorkshire (East Riding & York) Lookup Requests / Re: Thomas Hodgson Mary Towse

These could be interesting possibilities as their son and grandson were all born in grt Driffield as were the family after them . Hodgson appears to be a very common name in Yorkshire almost like Smith which makes it hard for research.

Yorkshire (East Riding & York) Lookup Requests / Thomas Hodgson Mary Towse
« on: Sunday 17 April 22 11:06 BST (UK)  »
Hi,
I'm trying to find out any further information with regards to Thomas hodgson who married Mary Towse in Little Driffield July 28th 1715. The name appears to be very , very common in Yorkshire and I've hit a brick wall with both of them . I'm thinking they would have been born circa 1690. They had a son also called Thomas married to Hannah Douk. I'd appreciate any help in finding the parents of either Thomas or Mary.
Thank you.

Fife / Laurence Keir
« on: Tuesday 29 March 22 20:10 BST (UK)  »
Hi
I have been researching the Keir family of Fife . My research has taken me back to Patrick Keir born Nov 17th 1652 Abdie Fife. Patrick married Barbara Fairfull in Scoonie July 9th 1686. Patrick was the son of Laurence Keir whom I believe died  May 20th 1663 in Forret. At this point I have hit a brick wall . May I ask if anyone has managed to trace this family beyond Laurence . I cannot find any record of his birth or of a marriage .
Regards
Richie

Hi
yes . I have a Margaret Surtees born 1859 and married to Walter Lewis . These are my great grandparents and lived in South Shields . Margaret was the daughter of Robert Surtees 1835 married to Sarah Keir . Robert Surtees is the son of John Surtees ( 1803 ) married to Margaret Flint . Robert was born in Rake House Northumberland and is the son of my elusive Edward Surtees. The Surtees were a very large family with many branches . I would really love to find out about his parentage but I don't seem to be getting anywhere .
