World War One / Pte 2519 Thomas Price WW1

I am trying to prove that Pte 2519 Thomas Price of the 8th Lancs Fusiliers was my grandad Thomas Price 10/10/1878 married to Mary Ann Price ( Stone ) in 1902.
My grandad lived in Hulme, Manchester and I know his wife Mary Ann remarried in 1917.
Pte 2519 Thomas Price died in Cairo 8/4/15 and his address in the Great Roll of Honour was given as 14 Lord Street, Hulme in the immediate area where my family lived.

I cannot locate him in the service records.

Any help to prove the link or background would be greatly appreciated.

Can anybody assist in my research for James Heron B crica 1816 Blairgowrie pre 1851.
His wife was Janet Heron born circa 1813.
In 1851 he was head gardener at Snaigow Gardens Perthshire.
1881 census shows him as a farmer of 220 acres at Ninewells(?) employing 3 men.
He was still alive in 1901 shown as a crofter living Burnside Perthshire.

Any advice to go back beyond 1851 census most appreciated.

Perthshire / Snaigow Gardens Caputh

I am researching the Heron family in particular James Heron b 1815 Blairgowrie, Perthshire.
He was a gardener at Snaigow Gardens near Caputh.  He son went onto be the head gardener at Pollock House near Glasgow.
Does anybody have information about Snaigow Gardens?? Thanks

Died 8th April 1915 Cairo from "severe" illness.


Involved operations on Suez Canal Feb 1915.

I am trying to confirm that PVTE T (Thomas) 2519 Price featured in the above document is my Grandfather.
He does not appear to feature in the recently released service records. I only need to prove age or next of kin to confirm who he is but I am really struggling.
An address of 14 Lord Street, Hulme is given and this is a street my ancestors lived on and around but I cannot get any more information.
Does anyone know how / if I can access the source of the entry in the above document???

Any help to fill the information gap would be greatly appreciated.

Is anybody researching the Price family from Hulme 1851 to present.
My family were in Hulme in 1851 John Price born circa 1813 Pershore. He was married to a Mary Brookees latter Whitehead. John and Mary had children John(1851) Thomas(1856) Alfred(1859)
John(1851) married Winifred Foy and had children Thomas(1878) John (1883) Margaret A (1888).
Any information from people researching same names welcome.
