Thank you Cupoflife,
You have been really helpful with the information you have supplied on the Guerin family.
I am going to put up another Post on Rootschat for death notices for several Guerin family members that according to Ryerson were published in the Advertiser and The Age (Melb.).  All are in papers which have not as yet been digitized.  Yesterday I also joined SA Genealogy and am pleased with what I have found there as opposed to being a "casual looker".
Thanks again,

Cupoflife and Essie,
Thank you so much for the additional information.  I couldn't believe the wedding notice - nothing that wasn't mentioned.  Wonderful to have all the details.

All very much appreciated.

Thank you Cupoflife and others for information on the Guerin children.  I did know about Geoffrey.  I have not found anything on the daughter who was born 1927.  Possible marriage in 1950 but it only gives the Christian names of husband in SA Genealogy.  I assume she is probably no longer alive, but if she is, would have been married for 71 years!  Not impossible, but unlikely I guess.
There is another son, about whom I know nothing.  I am assuming he was born after 1927!

Thank you Cupoflife and others for your information regarding Eunice Harrington Green who married a Mr. Stramrood.  Google translated those death notices for (possibly) the parents of "Tony" (Anglicised) Stramrood.  It certainly looks as though this is the family I have been looking for.
I am always amazed at how people find things for others! Now I just need to find a marriage for Green and Stramrood.

I am looking for any information on the children of Hurtle St. Clair Guerin and his wife Rosalie Elizabeth (nee Andrews).  A son Geoffrey was born and died in 1927 in Sth Aust.
There was another son born in 1925 and a daughter in 1927.  Another son was born possibly after 1927.
Any information would be appreciated.

I am looking for information about the husband of Eunice Harrington Green.  Eunice was the daughter of Arthur and Ada Green.  Eunice was born in 1905 in Sth. Australia.  Her husband's surname to my knowledge was Stramrood.  His Christian name may have been Tony, but I suspect this was Anglicised as he sounds as though he could have been Dutch.  The few Stramroods I have located, do not appear to fit.  I could not find a marriage for them in SA, NSW or Victoria.  I did find a probably death for Eunice in NSW in January 1996 which appeared in the SMH on 13 Jan 1996, but that paper has not been digitized as yet.
Any help would be appreciated.

I am looking for information regarding the husband of Phyllis Elizabeth Sidwell Green.  Phyllis was born in Sth Australia in 1907, the daughter of Ada and Arthur Green.  Phyllis apparently married a George Hardy who was born about 1898 but nothing else known about him.  They married in All Souls Anglican Church in St. Peters, Adelaide in 1932 and had two children, a girl and boy to my knowledge.  I believe that Phyllis died in 1999 but I don't know where.

Any help would be appreciated.

Australia / David Miller Dawson
« on: Wednesday 28 July 21 03:55 BST (UK)  »
I am researching my Dawson side of the family and have come across a discrepancy as to whom David Miller married.  David was the son of Thomas and Alison (nee Miller) Dawson, born in South Australia in 1878, the 6th of nine children. I believe he died in Sydney in 1936. The discrepancy is, did he marry Florence Maitland Wilson or Maitland Florence Burgess, possibly in Scots Church, Melbourne in 1909?
I found a son, Thomas James Dawson who was born in 1910 in Adelaide. I have no idea whether there were other children from the marriage, or if indeed, Thomas was David's child.
Any information on David's marriage and birth and death details of his wife, would be very much appreciated.  I believe his wife could have been born in Victoria.
