Buckinghamshire / Zipporah, Hannah & Jane Ives.
« on: Wednesday 28 March 18 15:01 BST (UK)  »
Three daughters, born and baptised to Joseph Ives & Hannah(nee.Warrell).(Married 1782, Wendover).

Zipporah. 1793. Great Missenden, Bucks.
Jane. 1797. Great Missenden, Bucks.
Hannah. born 20th Dec 1808. The Lee, (Near, Wendover & Great Missenden), Bucks. Baptised 11th June. 1809., @ St John The Baptist Church, The Lee.

I should also mentioned their first two siblings were baptised in Wendover, Bucks.  One of those(Sarah. b1786) gives a place of birth as Missenden, in the 1851 census.

Joseph Ives dies 1833, Great Missenden. Hannah Ives(nee.Warrell), death unknown.

There are other 6 children, all accounted for.

No marriages or burials found in Buckinghamshire.

No marriages in Oxfordshire, up to 1837.

It has been suggested that they were eaten by the parents. :o

Anyway......if anyone can find, any clues to their vanishing act, I'd be much obliged. Otherwise, I'll have to go with the cannibalism theory. ;D

Northamptonshire / Elizabeth Ives. 1785 Great Missenden, Bucks.
« on: Wednesday 13 September 17 00:23 BST (UK)  »
Hi everyone, need some help.  Trying to sort out 2 Elizabeth Ives's.

She was possibly born to James Ives & Mary(nee. Wooster). baptised, 1785.

There is another born 1788 in Great Missenden, to Thomas Ives & Sarah(nee.White).  She more than likely married William Fryer, and both buried in Great Missenden. Elizabeth Fryer's age is 2 years out at burial, but no surprises there. ::)

Marriage, Great Missenden, Bucks.
23 Oct 1813.
James KING, Bachelor of Dean, Northamptonshire
Elizabeth IVES, Spinster of this parish
Witnesses - John Ives & Ann Ives
With consent of parents. by Licence.

Marriage License.
12 Oct 1813. Great Missenden, Buckinghamshire, England
James King, Gentleman of Dean, Northants. Elizabeth Ives otp.

Is there anything to be found in Northants for this couple.....children, deaths or burials.

Nothing in Great Missenden, except for marriage.

Any suggestions.?

Steve. :)

Hello all. ;D

Marriages from OxFHS - Marriage Index.

Ralph Allen(of Berrick Salome) married Anne Gray(of Henley(-on Thames.?? )), 6 April 1638 @ Rotherfield Peppard, Oxon.

Any children Baptised to them please.

Also, if it's not too much to ask, are there any further details from this marriage. ;D

~~~~~~~~------------------------
Ralph Allen(of Berrick Salome), married Mary Rogers, 19 June 1687. @ Brightwell Baldwin, Oxon. (also online.).
Also, children Baptised to this couple.
I've looked at the PR's online, but they are so inconsistent.  :(
Thanks.
Buckinghamshire / John, Henry & Joseph Ives. Princes Risborough, Bucks
« on: Monday 15 May 17 15:00 BST (UK)  »
This has been posted on other forums, so I'll post here and see what can be found.
All sons of Henry Ives & Rebecca(nee.Smith) Ives.
John Ives baptised.1808. Princes Risborough, Bucks.
Henry Ives. baptised. 1813. Princes Risborough, Bucks.
Joseph Ives. baptised. 1814. Princes Risborough, Bucks.
Joseph Ives military records are online(Ancestree).......He served in India(4yrs, 5.mths.). He was in the Royal Marines, and was transferred to the 70th Foot, on the 8th April 1834 @ Royal Marine Barracks, Chatham. This was granted at his request to be with his older brother(un-named). Authorized/Sanctioned, by H.James(Adjutant).
Colour Sergeant. No.1033.
160 days in The Royal Marines, before being transferred, under 20 years of age.
They had one older half/step brother, Thomas Smith, baptised 1799. Princes Risborough(Illegitimate son of Rebecca Smith). I have found nothing on him, except his baptism. Not under Smith nor Ives.
The question is, which older brother.....are there any Army records for John & Henry Ives to be found.
A lot to ask, I know. ::)
Thanks.
Steve. :)
