Mary Cripps was 24, at the time the Marriage Bond was granted. 25th Aug 1798.  b.o.t.p. of Padbury.

So an approx. birth year of 1774.

Taken from Bucks Bonds list. From Buckinghamshire Records Office.

Obviously it's been a while since this was posted.  So rather create another, I can add to this.

The Ferdinando Shrimpton mentioned here, was born 1643 in Penn, Buckinghamshire His wife was Ann Dardes, who he married in Knebworth, Herts, in 1668.  Ann Dardes was baptised in 1643 at Knebworth, to John Dardes and Rose,(nee' Shepheard). They married 1634, Knebworth, Herts.  I also believe he was the Mayor of High Wycombe, Bucks.

Ferdinando Shrimpton has a son John Shrimpton b.1671, Penn, Bucks.  He married Sarah Jarvis, 1694, Stepney, Middx.
John(aka. Jack) Shrimpton, once a soldier in the 4th Regiment of Horse commanded by Major-General Cornelius Wood, an officer in John Churchill's army; Shrimpton was hanged at Gallows Acre, at the top of St. Michael's Hill in Bristol on 4 September 1713.  John/Jack had become a notorious Highwayman.

Ferdinando Shrimpton, son of John/Jack Shrimpton, like his father, he was also a soldier, Shrimpton was an associate of  Robert Drummond, the Sunderland Highwayman; Shrimpton was hanged at Tyburn in Middlesex on 17 February 1730.

So, 2 Ferdinando Simpsons, Grandfather and Grandson.

Buckinghamshire / Re: Joseph Stevens - born circa 1796 & died 4 March 1849
« on: Monday 26 April 21 16:09 BST (UK)  »
I have just discovered a possible link to the Stevens family of Bledlow.

I believe the Daniel Stevens I have been chasing for years may be Daniel Stevens bp 1752 Bledlow, son of Daniel and Hannah.  There are other candidates, but this seems to be the most likely one. Unfortunately the 'launchbury' site that used to be online and contained many records for Bledlow no longer seems to respond.

If anyone can help me with any more information about possible siblings of Daniel I would be very grateful.

Private message sent. :)

No children born to Henry & Mary Knibbs/Nibbs in the baptism index for Bicester town.

There is a baptism/christening for Mary Honour, to father Edward. 6 April 1714 @ Bicester. (No mothers name mentioned).

Bicester marriage - Edward Honour to Joan Rush. 18 Oct 1709.

Buckinghamshire / Re: Bulstrode Estate Name Index

You can trawl through it all by Hierarchy.

There are names and year period attached to each part. Yes, it takes ages to do. Unable to find a full name index though.  But I guess you will eventually hit upon your name/s of interest.

Buckinghamshire / Re: Wade family in Buckinghamshire
« on: Monday 22 February 21 14:10 GMT (UK)  »
Another tree has John Wade marrying Elizabeth Stevens in Buckinghamshire.

In deed it was, but at St Mary's, P. Risborough, Bucks.

Marriage - 29 May 1739.  by Banns
                       John WADE otp
                       Elizabeth STEVENS otp

Both die between 1741 - 1755. Several burials for John & Elizabeth between those dates.  No Robert baptised to them.

As you have settled on the London Wades, I'll leave it there.
