My maternal family are from the East Midlands and I will not do washing on New Years Day, supposedly will wash away good fortune for the year ahead. Didn’t know about New Year’s Eve though - oops!

I hope you’re now feeling better Mowsehowse. Sounds like yesterday turned into a lovely day Brigid, I think when things aren’t planned ages ahead they are sometimes more enjoyable.

Happy Christmas everyone, I hope you all have a wonderful day wherever you are. 🎄

P.S. I already know I will shed a tear at the King’s Christmas message simply because he isn’t the Queen

I’ve never been one for putting decorations up early, probably comes from trying to avoid real trees dropping most of their needles before the actual day.  My children used to pester me to put them up and I’d say you can do what you like when you have your own houses.  Clearly they took that to heart as both have their’s up already 🎄 🤣.

Love the Christmas suit KG!

P.S.  You’d think with my username I’d have my tree up by now too. Maybe next weekend.

Technical Help / Re: new computer

Another option is to buy an external disc drive for the new computer which can be linked by usb.  You could then install FTM from your original disc.

There are some fairly inexpensive ones available although I don’t know how good they are.

LM I seem to remember some of the earlier kits came with one bottle of fluid and you filed empty phials to the required level from that so can’t see a problem with combining the contents of two half empty ones. Obviously if the control line does not show up there’s a bigger problem but can’t hurt to try.

Glad to hear you are feeling better and husband also improving.

Just thought I’d start this one off.

Hope LM and OH are doing OK and anyone else who has been under the weather.

I have told myself to check the date every day just in case I get asked  by a Dr or a nurse

It’s to be hoped they’ve stopped asking people to name the Prime Minister, there must be lots of us who have lost tack of that one these days  :-X
