My maternal family are from the East Midlands and I will not do washing on New Years Day, supposedly will wash away good fortune for the year ahead. Didnít know about New Yearís Eve though - oops!

I hope youíre now feeling better Mowsehowse. Sounds like yesterday turned into a lovely day Brigid, I think when things arenít planned ages ahead they are sometimes more enjoyable.

Iíve never been one for putting decorations up early, probably comes from trying to avoid real trees dropping most of their needles before the actual day.  My children used to pester me to put them up and Iíd say you can do what you like when you have your own houses.  Clearly they took that to heart as both have theirís up already 🎄 🤣.

Love the Christmas suit KG!

P.S.  Youíd think with my username Iíd have my tree up by now too. Maybe next weekend.

Technical Help / Re: new computer

Another option is to buy an external disc drive for the new computer which can be linked by usb.  You could then install FTM from your original disc.

There are some fairly inexpensive ones available although I donít know how good they are.

LM I seem to remember some of the earlier kits came with one bottle of fluid and you filed empty phials to the required level from that so canít see a problem with combining the contents of two half empty ones. Obviously if the control line does not show up thereís a bigger problem but canít hurt to try.

Glad to hear you are feeling better and husband also improving.

I have told myself to check the date every day just in case I get asked  by a Dr or a nurse

Itís to be hoped theyíve stopped asking people to name the Prime Minister, there must be lots of us who have lost tack of that one these days  :-X
