Cheshire Completed Lookup Requests / Born on a Boat?
« on: Tuesday 17 February 09 14:23 GMT (UK)  »
Hi mothers family hail from Lymm in Cheshire.

My mothers place of birth is down as 1 Boat Stage, Lymm, Cheshire. June 1948. Could this be on a canal boat? 8)

Any information would be most welcome.

 ;) Cheers.

Will pay a visit to the Library, probably the best line of enquiry first.

Will wait til the kids go back to school, then take a trip. Will let you know how i get on.

Thank you.

Sadie

Hi,

Thanks for getting back to me. It is a small parish church, who would keep the burial records?

Sadie.

Hi,

I checked and double checked all the quarters for a period of 4 years either side of 1919, just to make sure.

It's a mystery to me ???

Is it possible for the entry on the birth index to be wrong. Trying to trace birth of my grandfather. The only Donald Eiles I can find for June 1919 in London (or anywhere for that matter) he is listed as Donald E Eiles. I was always told his middle name was Norman (passed to my father). The death entry shows it as Donald Norman Eiles.  ???

How do I find out for certain if someone has been buried where I have been told they are.  I looked in the Churchyard (it didn't take long), graves are obviously not marked.

Bedfordshire Lookup Requests / Caddington Burials - EILES
« on: Sunday 15 February 09 08:23 GMT (UK)  »
Hi, trying to find out if 2 people are actually buried in All Saints Churchyard in Caddington. I was told by my father that my great grandparents were buried there. I looked, graves are not marked.

Any help would be appreciated.  Henry James Eiles d. 1943 aged 68 years. Minnie Lucy Eiles d. 1946 aged 69.  Just need confirmation that these people are buried there (then I know for certain that they are my great grandparents.

Many thanks,
